Dmitrov Port

The land plot alongshore Tatischevo lay-by of Moscow Canal is the only place on the Canal that allows building a cargo port.
The land plot is located close to the motorway Moscow – Saint-Petersburg (A-104) and the railway, the distance to Moscow ring road is about 50 km. The land plot is perfectly located for multimodal container terminal construction.

 The total A-class warehouse area will make 100 000 m² including FMCG and low-temperature warehouses and a terminal for containers’ processing, storage and transshipment.
Moreover, Dmitrov Port will further help to optimize cargo handling in Saint-Peterburg’s ports by providing alternative routes and full service for “river-sea” ships. We believe that Dmitrov Port provides the unique opportunity to avoid traffic jams around Saint Petersburg Port and on the high-way to Moscow. It takes 4 days to get from Saint-Petersburg to Dmitrov by water to receive multimodal cross-docking, warehouse storing with the full spectrum of warehouse services as well as complete fleet services. The Expert council of Ministry of transportation of Russian Federation on public private partnership, held on May 2008, 7, approved in general the construction of Dmitrov Port on Moscow Canal for assignment of government support from the Investment Fund of Russian Federation.

Dmitrov Port project is unique since it includes the first multiprofile cargo complex with a full spectrum of multimodal transit services. It boosts waterway capacity, provides high-end cargo handling and increases cargo flow. That will raise the share of waterway transportation and will also release overpressure from roads around Moscow owing to redirection of traffic flows to the Moscow Сentral Ring Road which is under construction now.

The key parameters of A-class warehouse complex:

• The total warehouse area is 99,3 ths. m²,including the FMCG area of 73,2 ths. m², cross-docking terminal, 26,1 ths. m² of fresh and deep frozen zones
• Mezzanine area - 11 ths. m²
• Clear height of the warehouse – 12 m
• Pallet-places - 133 ths.
• Gates - 220 to 340
• Offices and social area - 4 to 7 ths. m²

Beginning of construction works is planned for 2009.
Commissioning  will start around 2010.
