Nizhny Novgorod

The land plot of 50 ha is located in Doskino of Avtozavodskoy district of Nizhny Novgorod, close to the railway and highway connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow. It also neighbors the territory of the city airport and railway depot Doskino and has a railway connection. The railway is fully equipped to receive fresh and deep frozen goods at the warehouse.

At the logistic centre territory we plan an intermodal container terminal for processing of 20’ and 40’ containers coming by railway and road. There are special areas projected for containers (incl. refrigerated) storage.

The warehouse complex will be both distribution centre and transshipment terminal, will process container flows and provide additional warehouse services.

It’s necessary to note that besides FMCG warehouse there will be different temperature zones (fresh and deep frozen warehouses). This is very important for companies dealing with different kinds of food products.

The key parameters of A-class warehouse in Nizhniy Novgorod on the first stage:

• The total warehouse area is 67 ths. m2, including the FMCG area of 41.5 ths. m2, cross-docking terminal of 5 ths. m2, 10.5 ths. m2 of fresh zone and 10 ths. m2 of deep frozen zone. There is a possibility to extend warehouse area up to 200 ths. m2 in the future.
• Mezzanine area – 16 ths. m2
• Clear height of the warehouse – 12.5 m
• Pallet-places – 99 ths.
• Gates – 176
• Offices and social area – up to 12.5 ths. m2

Cargo mezzanines and special blocks for loading/unloading  and additional cargo handling are planned within each temperature zone. Wide-aisle racking has been taken as the basis for operational cargo handling and picking; besides the universal column step allows to change the racking configuration according to the requirements of the certain client and to add other kinds of racking. In the deep frozen warehouse there has been planned a separate zone for picking. We plan quarantine zone for the spoilt goods according to sanitary norms. Each warehouse temperature zone is additionally divided by compartments to keep the sanitary conditions of goods storage. The warehouse equipment of the fresh and deep-frozen warehouses has all the special characteristics required for operations in low temperature conditions.
